Another week of linux distro releases means it time for the weekly distribution release roundup. Read on to see whats new this week.

March 23

• jibbed 5 rc3 jibbed is a live cd for NetBSD. This actually came out on March 22, but it slipped past us last week so I included it with this week’s releases.

• Resulinux 3 Test 1 K4 Liberado Resulinux is a Brazilian Linux distro based on Debian. This is the first test release of the upcoming 3.0 release and it includes KDE 4.2.0, Splashy for bootsplash, and some other new features.

March 24

• Suse Linux Enterprise 11 Suse Linux Enterprise 11 is the latest Enterprise version release of the RPM-based disto. There are numerous feature updates to both the Server and Desktop editions that are best left to the press release to go into detail on.
• Moblin V2 Alpha 2 Moblin just released a new alpha for their upcoming version 2 release. Highlights of this alpha include XFCE 4.6, kernel 2.6.29-rc7, GNOME 2.26 RC, and many other package updates.

March 25

• Musix 2.0 Alpha 1 Musix is a Debian-based linux distro with a focus on providing a large collection of multimedia applications. Musix 2.0 looks like it will be a nice upgrade and revamp from version 1 and will be based off of Debian Lenny. Full software package updates and distribution updates are in the release announcement.

March 26

• Elive 1.9.24 Elive is an Enlightenment-powered Debian-based live cd distribution. This new release is now based off of Debian Lenny and has an updated Enlightenment 17, Reiser4 support, and a some other major updates.
• trixbox 2.8 BETA There’s a new pre-release for trixbox 2.8 and it has been upgraded to beta status. The major update for the beta is the addition of Asterisk  1.6 and no  other new features have been added.

March 27

• Ubuntu 9.04 Beta The latest pre-release Ubuntu 9.04 release has been upgraded to beta status. In addition to many bugfixes, they’ve also implemented boot optimizations and made their notification system consistent across all applications. Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Studio, and Mythbuntu were also updated with the latest beta packages.
• PC-BSD 7.1-RC1 This RC1 release is based off of FreeBSD 7.2-pre and it includes KDE 4.2.1. For a full list of changes between the betas and RC1 check the full changelog.
• Scientific Linux Live CD/DVD 5.3 This is the live CD/DVD release for the full Scientific Linux 5.3 release from a few weeks ago.

March 29

• Puppy Linux 4.2 Puppy Linux is a small Linux distribution (all releases to date are under 100MB) and is a full-featured Linux distribution. Version 4.2 brings about many updates that can be read here.
